These were a go-to on my last camping and hiking trip and they held up great. The stretch is just right — enough to keep everything comfortable through a full day of movement without feeling like you're wearing yoga pants on the trail. The waffle knit fabric is soft against the skin, handles abrasion well, and dries out fast when things get sweaty or damp, which out in the field matters more than people realize until it doesn't.

These cargo hiking pants are water resistant, lightweight and easy to convert to shorts by unzipping the lower legs just above the knees. I like the color contrast between the dark blue and the hot teal color of the plastic zippers. All other zippers at the two hip side pockets, the one lower pocket and the one back pocket are plastic and matching with the material of the pants. They are also lined with mesh on the inside for breathability.

All pulls are metal with loops to make it easy to grip in wet conditions. The button on the front is also made of good quality metal. The waist band is gathered with elastic on the back with belt loops. The front of the pant is flat which makes them attractive if you have a shirt tucked in. The knees are darted for ease of movement.

The nylon material is stretchy with its 13.6% spandex content and the waffle texture of the fabric is subtle and attractive. All seams are reinforced so although the material is thin, they are going to last a long time. The cut is done well so they don’t look like the cargo pants of the past. They can easily be worn without feeling like you are in regular fishing pants or giving that utility feel but they will perform as well. In my opinion, I think they would also look nice on the golf course with a sun blocking polo shirt. The price is on par with the quality. I would highly recommend them.
