Compare verified UPF rating, coverage, fabric weight, breathability, drying speed and ventilation. For active use, a high UPF rating is most useful when the garment also feels comfortable enough to keep on throughout the day.

UPF 50 means approximately one-fiftieth of ultraviolet radiation passes through the tested fabric. UPF differs from SPF, which is used for sunscreen. Fabric coverage, wear, moisture and garment construction can influence real-world protection, so combine clothing with other sun-safety measures.
