It has everything I want in a sun hoodie:

- light

- strangely durable

- high FPS protection

- doesn’t show how sweaty I get

- hood fits over my climbing helmet

- hood is actually flattering, normally I look like a dumb dumb with this kind of hood

- so far, bugs have not been able to bit me through it

The long-sleeve Pioneer Camp sun blocking hoodie is stretchy and comfortable! With the UPF rating of 23+, this gives me confidence to be able to enjoy outdoor activities such as walking my dogs, fishing, gardening or hiking in the mountains with my sun sensitivity with lupus without getting a terrible rash or coming back feeling sick.

The first item I really appreciate is the hood has an air vent at the back. The fabric overlaps so it doesn’t expose skin while allowing for additional air flow. This is a unique design feature I haven’t found in any other sun shirt maker. The cut of the hood allows protection from the sun without it flopping in your face which I personally find annoying since it has a face forming band. The second, the cut of the body allows you to move while retaining a flattering figure. The sleeves are on the longer side to cover your hands and includes thumb holes so they don’t ride up as you move. There is enough material on the sleeves that even with longer arms like me, it still covers and doesn’t restrict movement. The hem at the back is slightly longer than the front to allow coverage while bending or climbing. The last feature I like is the logo placement. As a designer, I don’t like clothing that screams their brand loudly. This is subtle and well-placed on the front and back giving it a classier feel for outdoor active wear.
