These snow pants by Pioneer Camp exceeded my expectations! They are lightweight, yet warm and very well cut for a woman’s body. In choosing a size, note they are true to size but if you are thicker in the waist, you may wish to size up since they are fitted and not as elastic at the waist as you might expect. They are ample in the hips if you are more pear shape. The logo placement is perfect and so is the detailing and placement of loops to accentuate your waist while not being restrictive.

All snaps, zippers and connection points are made of quality materials. The zippers are metal and so are the snaps. I love that there is Velcro at the waist to dial in your comfort and the bib lining can be removed by unzipping starting at the front. The same is true with the straps which can be removed with the Velcro loops (demonstrated in my pictures).

Because it isn’t snowing season just yet, I tested the waterproofing by running water over the pant leg. The 15kmm waterproofing did very well and the inside was completely dry. One feature that can’t be overlooked is the fact that the pockets are deep and also waterproof. For spring skiing/snowboarding or for other snow sports where you don’t want to wear a jacket, the pockets are perfect for holding everything you may need on the slopes. I also like where they are placed since it won’t restrict movement.
