I really like these rain pants. I am 5'3 and got the small and think it's perfect. It is a little on the baggy side but that means it can also fit over sweatpants for winter outdoor chores. The bottoms have ankle zips and velcro so you can tighten them up. When loose, they fit over a pair of boots or you can cinch them up with the velcro and tuck them inside boots. In my picture, I have one side loose and the other side tightened up around the ankles. There is a drawstring but it doesn't go all the way around the waist, you can probably tighten them about an 1" or so. I'll probably put a cord stopper on them to make them easier to tighten.

I ordered these lightweight windproof side zipper waterproof outdoor hiking pants, because my daughter is taking a hiking class to fulfill her PE graduation requirements. They have them out trekking whether it's rain or shine, so these made me feel better about having her out there in the elements.
They arrived in a plastic zippered logo bag, and upon opening, there were no off-putting or chemical scents. The color was true black and the design looked just like the listing photos.
They come with a cool little drawstring storage bag that makes taking them around very convenient. The bag clips to the pants if you want to use it for waterproof storage of other items. As you can see in my video the pants are effectively waterproof.
They are well sewn, the seams are straight, and there were no stray strings I had to cut off. The velcro at the base of the legs is very sturdy, and holds the pan legs closed securely. The pantleg and pocket zippers glide effortlessly open and closed. The pockets are good sized, and can accommodate multiple items simultaneously, even with a cellphone.
She said they feel great on and do not feel cumbersome. They fit right over whatever pants she's wearing. She said they do make a little noise when she walks but I'm thinking maybe that will scare away the bears and mountain lions. Haha
$58.00 is a fantastic price for the comfort, quality, and functionality of these hiking pants.

this is true to size and petite friendly for someone who is 5'1. you can easily wear it on top of your existing pants. it's easy to organize and can fit in the bag that it comes with. So it can be easily packed for hiking or camping trips. there is no stretchiness as expected as a rain pant. it's lightweight and feels like good quality.
