Nice Jacket. Warm, comfortable, soft. Check, check and check! Time will tell how it holds up, but wore it out today while running errands in 20 degree (Fahrenheit) weather and I felt very comfortable in it.

My only negative comment is that it seems to be either an athletic cut or a little bit fitted, and well...i'm more of a regular fit these days (used to wear those other cuts!). Sleeves and shoulder fit great. I got an XL and I'm 6'1".

I bought two of these, one for my husband and one for my son. They both loved them. Soft, great quality, warm, and nice fit. I had to get a medium for my husband and an extra large for my son. They run true to size and both of them appreciated how lightweight yet super warm these jackets were.

I've owned a number of fleeces over the years. REI, North Face, Colombia to name a few. Some were higher performing than others, some lasted longer than others before losing all elasticity but all shared one performance metric - decent three season performance but definitely not winter gear. Once the temps drop into the 20's, most fleeces won't keep you warm for long unless used as an underlayer in combination with a wind and water resistant outer layer. Even then, not ideal.

First time out and fully zipped, I noticed that I was overheating, something I've rarely experienced in a fleece. This isn't a negative, just unexpected. On the contrary, impressive. Temps can be controlled somewhat by unzipping to let air flow in.

Most impressive was a late night incident in a somewhat remote part of Maine. Wind blowing, ambient temp of -7(F). I wouldn't have lasted long but *far* better than other fleeces I've owned.

Why is this as effective as it is? There are two significant design differences relative to all but one fleece I've owned.

1) It's thicker than the others but not to the point that it inhibits motion or reach. The outer layer looks like typical fleece but the inner layer is fluffed which helps retain warmth by trapping air and providing better insulation.

2) Perhaps most importantly, the cut of the jacket along the torso and arms is snug (comfortably so), keeps the wind out. Keeping the wind out is at least half the battle when trying to stay warm. When fully zipped…
