    They do a lot!

Pioneer Camp Merino Wool Hiking Socks for Men & Women Cozy Running Socks Cushioned Breathable Athletic Work Hunting - 3 Pairs, Large. They’re warm, they keep my feet dry (especially that material at the toe), and they don’t slide around in my shoes. They stay put, so I don’t get blisters. These are all great things. They’re good looking, too. The fit is good, though a smidge tight on me (but I’m plus-sized). I love how they are marked for left vs. right foot. So, why four stars instead of five? They just feel the tiniest bit cheap to me, given the price. That’s my only negative, and it’s just a personal opinion (and it looks like I’m in the minority, based on all the other reviews). Maybe I was expecting too much. I have other wool socks that feel more luxe, but they don’t have all those other attributes, so maybe I’m being unfair. It’s not like I’m an expert on hiking or wool socks, lol.

    Cozy

I’ve been really impressed with the Pioneer Camp Merino Wool Hiking Socks. The 3-pack is a fantastic value, especially given how high-quality these socks feel. They’re warm without being bulky, wick moisture incredibly well, and keep my feet dry even on long hikes. The elastic around the arch gives great support, and they haven’t lost their shape after multiple washes.

What stands out most is the comfort — no rubbing, no blisters, and no sweaty feeling, even after hours on the trail or during winter runs. They’re soft enough for everyday wear but tough enough for serious outdoor use. Definitely a must-have for anyone who hikes or spends time outdoors. I’ll be ordering another set soon!

Comfortable, high-performance wool without the bulk

As someone who wears a men’s size 13, I often struggle with socks that claim to be "one size fits most" but end up being way too tight. I ordered the large in these, and they fit well.

The comfort level is top-notch. You can tell immediately that these are high-quality wool, but they aren't bulky like a lot of other hiking socks. I’ve worn them on several hikes now, and they do a great job of keeping my feet warm and dry. Even after a long trail, my feet still felt good, and the socks didn't bunch up or slip down.

If you want the benefits of wool without having to buy bigger boots to accommodate thick fabric, these are a fantastic choice.

Great for Painful Feet Cute Too

I love these socks. I just love them. They are worth every penny. The quality of these sock is incredible. I have foot issues with lots of foot pain originating in my arch. These socks have a band that wraps around the arch section of my foot and that alone is so helpful. The firm pressure of the sock against my arch is amazing; it feels good, it reduces the pain with every step. The quality of the material is supreme. They are made from Merino Wool, and apparently wool can be comfortable- I have avoided wool socks because I thought they would be uncomfortable. I was wrong. The stitching of the wool is soft and very airy; the socks breath and I do not feel hot at all. The socks have some stretch to them, so they do not slip down at all. The style is wonderful. The pair I got is black, dark gray, light gray and orange and the color looks crisp and pops. I have washed one pair, I washed them cold and I hung them to dry and they kept their shape and are just as soft and colorful.

    Suuuppper warm!

These socks are warm as all get out! They feel luxurious and are thick. The black sections of the socks are all thicker than the rest of the sock for cushioning. The cushion is just right, not too thick that your shoes don’t fit and not too thin that it won’t provide support.

These are definitely a cold weather sock. It is 60 degrees where I am at now and these socks seriously had me sweating and I had to take them off. The blend of fabrics makes them soft yet durable.

The reason I docked a star is because they are expensive and because they run a little tight in my opinion. I am a smaller woman with size 9 feet and it was a tad uncomfortable around my calves. But I must add that I am very sensitive about tightness around my legs, possibly overly sensitive. My husband who wears size 10 had no complaints so it’s probably only an issue for people with that sensitivity.

If you can afford to splurge on socks, I would definitely recommend these socks!
