This UPF windbreaker is so pretty in person with its finely textured, lightweight fabric in slate blue-gray. There are a lot of features to this jacket to include a breathable mesh on the side, an inside pocket, two hip pockets and one on the front. All pockets other than the inside has plastic zippers with rubber pulls. The hem has an elastic gather on the inside to keep it in place if you are using it to be active. There is also elastic at the wrists. The size is true to size.

The hood has a slit at the back for a ponytail, airflow (wind wont rip it off your head) or for running your headphone wire through if you are wearing a backpack. One of the great things about it is the cut; the hood doesn’t fall over your face when you wear it and the design of the coat has some structure to it to give you a flattering figure. All of this and a bag to pack it in at a fair price. I would recommend this jacket for the warmer months.

On a last note, I absolutely love that it blocks the sun for those of us with sun sensitivity due to conditions. This jacket is going to provide ample protection without overheating. I would give it six stars if I could.

This windbreaker is very lightweight, perfect for a warmish but breezy day, and is packable in a small bag or purse. The fabric feels like soft nylon but without that annoying “phwp phwp” sound when you’re walking and your arms are rubbing against your side, if you know what I mean. The label says it’s 100% polyester. Parts of it are a sort of mesh - see attached pictures. It is so thin I can see my hand through the fabric. The quality of the seams is good. I haven’t tested its water resistance, but I did notice that the washing instructions say to hand wash it and hang it to dry. That is probably to keep the sun protection in tact because it came with a cardboard tag that says that after many washes the sun protection will decrease. So FYI if that is your priority.

As far as size goes, I got a large (which is usually perfect for me) and it’s honestly a little tight. In other words, I couldn’t fit a sweater underneath it. I worry that an XL would be too large so I’m keeping it, but let’s just say it runs slightly small. The sleeve length is 21” and so is the hip-to-hip measurement. The side length from armpit to waist is 17”. So it’s not long.

It does have some elastic running through the sleeve cuffs and waist, and the waist can be cinched to make it smaller, (same with the hood) so if you do get a size up, it should be able to be adjusted to fit. There is a vent in the back of the hood to keep things cool and 3 zipper pockets.
