This vest is really light weight- one layer of light rip-stop nylon with a mesh lining. It has pockets, which is nice- sometimes I'll be wearing an outfit that doesn't have pockets- so this is good to throw on, then I have pockets. Its super light weight, and easy to pack up if you don't want to wear it. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, but its light wind breaker in the spring weather.

This is a great little vest perfect for more warmth and wind protection on cool nights or as a layer for winter. The fabric is lightweight like a lined windbreaker with a shell that would offer protection in light rain. It runs to size. It folds up really small so I can tuck it into a purse, tote, or backpack. The style is understated classic and the overall piece seems good quality.

I got the black vest and love the way it looks. I got the XXL and it fits my 18-20 body great. I love all the zip pockets to keep items safe and the pocket on the chest will be perfect for a cell phone. This will help keep my body warmer from the winds that can chill or a sprinkle. I took a star away because the price seemed a little spendy to me.
