Convenient to wear short or long

These cargo hiking pants are water resistant, lightweight and easy to convert to shorts by unzipping the lower legs just above the knees. I like the color contrast between the dark blue and the hot teal color of the plastic zippers. All other zippers at the two hip side pockets, the one lower pocket and the one back pocket are plastic and matching with the material of the pants. They are also lined with mesh on the inside for breathability.

All pulls are metal with loops to make it easy to grip in wet conditions. The button on the front is also made of good quality metal. The waist band is gathered with elastic on the back with belt loops. The front of the pant is flat which makes them attractive if you have a shirt tucked in. The knees are darted for ease of movement.

The nylon material is stretchy with its 13.6% spandex content and the waffle texture of the fabric is subtle and attractive. All seams are reinforced so although the material is thin, they are going to last a long time. The cut is done well so they don’t look like the cargo pants of the past. They can easily be worn without feeling like you are in regular fishing pants or giving that utility feel but they will perform as well. In my opinion, I think they would also look nice on the golf course with a sun blocking polo shirt. The price is on par with the quality. I would highly recommend them.

    Great hiking pants!

These fit great and are true to size. The zippers attach and detach easily from the lower portion and the color is nice. These are great pants for hiking or lounging around. They will do well in the elements. The logo is noticeable but not obnoxious. Overall happy with the quality and fitting for the price.

    Turns into shorts!!!

These hiking pants are such a smart and practical design. The ability to convert them into shorts makes them perfect for unpredictable weather or long hikes where temperatures change throughout the day. The zippers are smooth and easy to use, so transitioning from pants to shorts takes just a minute.

One of my favorite features is that each zipper is a different color. It seems like a small detail, but it makes a huge difference — you can quickly match each leg back correctly without guessing or struggling to line things up. It’s thoughtful and saves time, especially if you’re changing on the go.

They also fit really well. The cut is comfortable without being too baggy, and they allow for easy movement while still looking streamlined. Overall, they’re functional, well-designed, and comfortable — a great choice for hiking, travel, or any outdoor activity where versatility matters.

All in all, I highly recommend these Pioneer pants.

These Pioneer hiking pants are very well-made and feel high-quality.

It's comfortable and water-resistant, excellent for hiking, hunting, and camping.

The value for money is great; these Pioneer pants are much nicer than many of the other hunting pants I own.

Durability is great, no issues with them when hunting yesterday. No nicks, tears, or abnormal wear that is usually seen with low-quality hunting/hiking pants.

Color is nice and sharp, not very loud or vibrant. It's exactly what I want when hunting and camping.

The fit is perfect, true to size, not too small like many other brands.

All in all, I highly recommend these Pioneer pants.

    Hiking Pants - Torin Liversedge

I have a lot of hiking pants like these, but these are better. The biggest reason being durability, often I go trad and sport climbing in hiking trousers. And most of my hiking trousers I scuff up and ruin. But these I really bashed them about with the rock, a lot of scraping on rough granite, and these pants were fine, the durability is fantastic, which is surprising considering how light and think the material is. On rough scrambling descents, these pants handled great on the rugged terrain. I’m sure I’ll get a good 10-20 years of regular use out of these pants. My favourite feature of these pants is the knee zips, and that one is red and one blue. This rich an amazing idea. With my other trousers, it takes ages to figure out how to put back on my zip offs. With my other trousers I never put my zip ons back on on a hike because it’s too annoying to do, but these pioneering camp pants is very simple to put back on. Very nice pants, very breathable but durable material.
