This Pioneer Camp jacket was perfect for my recent trip to Chicago in the fall. It has a nice bit of weight to it without being overly warm, so it’s definitely more of a fall or spring jacket rather than a full winter coat. It does a great job of blocking the wind and keeping off a light drizzle, which came in handy more than once.

I’m 5'8" and found the sleeves just a touch short on me, but not enough to be bothersome. I ordered a size small and usually wear a size 4, and it fit just right with enough room for a sweater underneath. The purple color is beautiful, a medium-dark plum that looks even better in person.

It’s a great casual jacket for in-between seasons, stylish and comfortable without feeling bulky.

I really like this soft-shell jacket. I wear a medium or a large. I ordered the large and it fit well. I would say it is on the smaller side of large so if you are in-between, size up. The overall fit and comfort are nice. I love the purple color. There is an inside pocket as well which is nice. The fleece lining keeps things toasty. Perfect for wearing here in So. Cal when it's raining but not too cold out. Great for layering as well and using on my boat. Overall it is well made. My only "wish" would be for it to have an adjustment for the hood tightness.

Ordered this for my daughter to wear to soccer practice now that the weather is getting cooler and wet. The quality of this softshell jacket is excellent: the stitching, fabric material and interior fleece lining rivals high-end outdoor apparel brands.

The slim fit is really nice too: it’s not too tight, not too baggy and she’s able to move freely in it (see pic, she’s wearing a hoodie underneath comfortably). For reference, she is 5’2, weighs 112 lbs and is wearing the size Small.

There is elastic banding around the hood and sleeves as well which helps keep air and water from seeping in.

Best yet, it doesn’t only look good it actually keeps the water out! Her uniform stayed dry during a downpour at practice. I highly recommend this jacket especially at the price point - it’s functional, stylish, and comfortable.

The Pioneer Camp weather proof jacket is the perfect outdoor jacket for cool weather hiking.

My girlfriend absolutely loves this jacket - she found the small to fit her perfectly. The cut is flattering without feeling tight, and the hood design is spot on — it actually fits her head comfortably and doesn’t flap around or blow off like many others she’s tried.

She wore it out in light rain and windy conditions, and it held up beautifully. The waterproof protection kept her dry and the lightweight and soft fleece inside made it warm and cozy even today when the temps were in the upper 40's. She really appreciated the that there was elastic around a portion of the cuffs to reduce wind, yet the back side was longer to fit over the base of her gloves. She also liked the elastic hem that helps to seal out drafts and the fact that the jacket was a bit longer in the back to keep her bottom warmer.

She also mentioned how comfortable it is to move in. The stretch fabric allows plenty of flexibility and it feels durable without being stiff.

The pockets are well thought out — two roomy zippered hand pockets plus two longer inside ones that could hold a water bottle, keys, wallet, etc.. Overall, it’s a great-looking jacket that fit her perfectly. She’s already said it’s her new go-to jacket for this fall.
